I’ve been using Dawn for years. My grandmother taught me the very first time I washed dishes that Dawn was the absolute best to use to “cut the grease” in pots and pans while hand washing your dishes. HOWEVER, that being said I have a tip for you. In fact bloggers all over the blogoshpere are sharing their own tips with the hashtag #DawnBeyondTheSink

I’m sharing how I use Dawn as a laundry pre-treater. It’s super easy and WAY cheaper. We’ve all been there. Wearing our favorite shirt and SPLAT! you drop the spaghetti that was meant for your mouth and somehow ended up on your shirt. Instant greasy stain…no matter how fast you try to get it off. Have no fear because DAWN IS HERE!

Here’s What You Do:
- Apply Dawn directly to any cotton/polycotton fabric*, covering the entire stained area, and rub it in using your fingers.
- Then wash it normally with Tide in your washing machine**.
- Do not reapply Dawn to the same spot and wash again.
* For best results, use a little less than two teaspoons (9.5 mL) of Dawn in a top-loading washing machine – be sure not to use too much, and don’t use on delicate fabrics like silk. Spot test with a small drop in a less visible area to make sure the material will not be damaged.
** HE washing machines can be sensitive and cycle times may vary.

Looks simple, am I right? I can’t wait for you to take this easy tip and apply it to your every day life.
