I love going behind the scenes on an animated film. It’s crazy to think of how long it takes from conception to actual movie it takes vs. a regular film. Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast is a different Tinkerbell film. Here’s what the director Steve Loter and producer Makul Wigert had to say […]
I was SUPER excited that Big Hero 6 took home an Oscar on Sunday night! It was well deserved! You can see my previous Big Hero 6 posts including The Interview with the Directors, Behind the Scenes at Disney Studios with the Big Hero 6 Team, and my favorite post: Big Hero 6 Research and […]
What the image above says is the truth: Champions Can Come From Anywhere. These 7 actors who bring the boys of McFarland alive are ones you need to keep an eye out for. They are going to have big careers. Interviews can always be tricky. Some are great and others are just enough to get […]
McFarland USA hits theaters everywhere today. Sports films come a dime a dozen anymore, but it takes heart and the right cast and crew to make you feel like this one is different. In fact, this is a sports movie directed by a female: Niki Caro. She is most famously know for being the writer […]
Disney’s shorts have been around for a long time. The past few years they have used these shorts to convey a certain emotion. PATRICK OSBORNE (Director) is behind Walt Disney Animation Studios’ new short “Feast,” taking the film from conception to completion. Osborne joined WDAS as an animator on the 2008 feature film “Bolt,” and […]
We’ve seen this advertised on millions of books, tv shows, and movies: Based On a True Story. This was the first time I actually interviewed the people who were an inspiration. The first thing you notice when they walk into the room is the deep respect for one another and their “coach” they still have […]
Big Hero 6 flat out ROCKS. I’m a fan, obviously. It takes MARVEL and Disney Animation and mashes it together. Why wouldn’t I like it? Head on over to my earlier post if you want yo get more info on the concept art and research. Right now I want you to hear from the directors […]
There are certain actors that you kind of grow up admiring. An actor that you can remember watching for years on end. Each film meaning something different and recalling some memory from your mind. Kevin Costner is that for me. I remember watching my mom and other family watching him in field of dreams. As […]
If you’ve watched a movie on the Disney Channel you know how they usually work. Typical Disney princess, jokes, and mostly geared for tweens. Leigh-Allyn Baker took on a producer role and decided to turn the typical movie and make it something for everyone. Bad Hair Day starts out with Monica (played by Laura Marano) […]
Any Disney Press Trip is full of surprises and fun. You never know what to expect. So walking into a room knowing you will be doing some sort of presentation that involves the just released 101 Dalmatians Diamond Edition released on Feb. 10th and THEN seeing Floyd Norman is quite a shock! Why is he […]
If you’ve watched the Disney Channel at all in the past 5 years then you have seen Leigh-Allyn Baker. Her role as Amy Duncan in Good Luck Charlie has touched many. In Bad Hair Day she is not only acting, but is producing. Leigh was nice enough to screen the film with us and then […]
McFARLAND, USA (opening in theatres on 2/20) Inspired by the 1987 true story, “McFarland, USA” follows novice runners from McFarland, an economically challenged town in California’s farm-rich Central Valley, as they give their all to build a cross-country team under the direction of Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner), a newcomer to their predominantly Latino high […]
Comedic sitcoms are easy to do wrong. It’s great when one comes along that is Laugh Out Loud funny, great acting, and nostalgic. ABC has had good luck with this type of show. Just look at Modern Family, The Goldbergs, and Black-ish. It’s showing there is more to America that what is perceived. Fresh Off […]
I saw this display at The Disney Store and couldn’t help to take a picture. It just gets you in a mood and makes you want 101 plush Dalmatians to lie beside you while you are watching the BONUS FEATURES from the 101 Dalmatians DIAMOND EDITION! About This Disney animated classic is based on the […]
