I didn’t get a lot of great shots with my camera this time because all I had in my mind was FOCUS. I had the opportunity last time I was in Forever Florida to do the Panther Pounce, but after the rush of the Zipline Rollercoaster I was done. So THIS time. What is the Panther Pounce?

The Florida Panther is known to leap from heights up to 18 feet but we expect a lot more from our human visitors. Your challenge is clear on this challenge tower. Muster up the courage to step off a 68’ platform into a thrilling but safely controlled freefall to the ground below. It’s a first of its kind adventure in Florida and an extreme one at that! Once you get up the nerve to make the leap, it’s pure thrills from there! C’mon, let’s show those Florida Panthers how it’s done!
Let me say I’m pretty adventurous when I put my mind to it. I’ve bungee jumped, ziplined, did the zipline rollercoaster, but standing on a ledge with nothing under you but dirt with the word “SPLAT” written out just does something to a person. It’s mind over matter and your mind is telling you, “This is nuts. What are you doing?! Why are you walking off a particularly large cliff for no reason at all.” The video I’m getting ready to share shows only about a minute of me getting up my courage, but it was more like 5-7 minutes. Every time they counted down I was like…OK…This is it. I’m going. Then I would chicken out. All the other bloggers were yelling “GO KAS!” and being super supportive, but I just couldn’t get it through my mind that it was ok. I was strapped in. Even if I could not see the strap. Then I jumped….
I immediately felt like someone was slowly letting me fall. No big freefall just a gliding down. The rush was INTENSE. Afterwords I was so hyped up oon adrenalin I think I talked for 15 minutes straight. If your an adrenalin junkie or just looking to try something different then you should really check out the EcoPark at Florida EcoSafaris. There is literally something for everyone and it’s right in the heart of Kissimmee Florida for you to experience.

I went on a zip line about a year and a half ago. It was really intense. My children went before me and then when it was my turn I had an amazing fear of taking that plunge! Of course I couldn’t not go with my children having just gone so I closed my eyes and jumped.
