It’s that wonderful time of the year again. SUMMER! Which means lots of outdoor entertaining for us. Both of the kiddos birthdays are in July so we always have lots of BBQs. The biggest issue is cleaning the grill so I’m excited to try the New Mr. Clean Outdoor Magic Erasers. Here are a few tips for getting your outdoor area ready for entertaining:
- Maintain Your Outdoor Furniture – Keep it looking good all summer
- Inspect your Deck – Give it good once over - check for loose nails, bricks, cracked concrete

Make sure your area is free of bugs! Try an outside fogger!
Keep on handy cheese and a variety of crackers, in case someone pops in.
enlist family and friends when asked “need anything”
let everyone bring a dish that way you have a variety
have a cookout with friends, have them bring side dishes
Check the weather ahead of time and have a back up plan
I don’t get to entertain, but enjoy reading the tips here for when I do. I would just make sure everyone had a nice cool drink (sweet tea here in the south) as soon as they arrived.
Make sure to have plenty of ice!
i love to plant annuals around my yard to make it colorful
Always buy paper and plastic silverware! Otherwise you will be spending alot of time after washing dishes!
I keep plenty of veggies on hand.

I always have a stock of drinks so when company shows up, I’m ready. I also try to have snacks available or easy to assemble in a small amount of time.
