A Holiday of a Lifetime in Walt Disney World, Florida

It’s hard you know, trying to find a holiday destination that everyone agrees on.  My husband wants to go somewhere where he can relax and play golf, I would love to go somewhere I can be pampered and totally relax and the kids, well once they found the brochures they had their hearts set on going on holidays to Florida 2012 looks like the year we are Orlando bound.  Having read through all of the literature about the parks and all of the facilities that they have, we decided that I could have a day on the park with the kids and he could have a day on the golf course.  I did also make the point of saying that he could do the same for me while I go off and have some quality pampering time in the hotel spa.  I think I might have to tie them to each other just so one of them doesn’t wander off while I’m not there, but that’s the plan and I’m going to do my upmost to stick to it.

Something New

With so many different parks on offer we decided that this year we would try twin centre holidays 2012 so that we could enjoy two distinctly different weeks.  There should be enough attractions between the two centres to keep everyone amused and entertained for the entire time that we are there.  I want this holiday to be one that the kids and we remember for a very long time, and can look back on and share the memories together.  There are things I want to see while I am there too, and I know that my husband is hoping to get a picture taken with Mickey Mouse.  Me, well I want to have my own picture taken with some of the other Disney characters like Cinderella and Winnie the Pooh, both of which are old favourites from my own childhood.

The Wow Factor

As soon as we told our sons where we were going for holiday this year there were whoops of excitement, jumping up and down and fists pumping.  I think they were excited, it was hard to tell!  They have told their friends, their teachers and in fact anyone that would listen where they were going for their holidays.  The day of departure has been circled in red on the calendar and the kids are now marking off the days until we depart, and if they don’t explode before its time for us to leave everything should be fine.

A Holiday of a Lifetime

We are planning to take plenty of pictures whilst we are away.  As far as the kids are concerned this is going to be the holiday of a lifetime, a one off never to be repeated event so they should cherish every minute of it.  If they can keep that in mind that will be fine, they will focus all of their attention on making the most out of every moment they are in the resorts.  All I have to do is make sure that the Holidays to Orlando in 2013 brochures are kept out of sight until the very last minute; after all I wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise would I?  It looks like we are going to have another holiday of a lifetime again next year.

I can’t wait to go on my holidays this year and I am already looking forward to my holidays to Florida in 2012.  Disney holidays really are a magical experience and can be enjoyed by the whole family.

I have been fortunate enough to go to Disney World three times and each time it is absolutely fantastic. There’s so much to see and do, everything touched with Disney magic. We also got to visit Universal Orlando and that was fun too. Now we have to go back and see the Harry Potter “land.”
