Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with “Winnie the Pooh.” Featuring the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original short films, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo—and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore, who has lost his tail. “Ever have one of those days where you just can’t win, Eeyore?” asks Pooh. Owl sends the whole gang on a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit. It turns out to be a very busy day for a bear who simply set out to find some honey. Inspired by three stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art style, “Winnie the Pooh” hits theaters in the U.S. TODAY July 15, 2011.

THIS is the Winnie The Pooh I remembered from when I was a little girl. The fun Pooh Bear all stuffed with fluff. Frightened little Piglet who always manages to do something brave. Gloomy ole Eeyore who always seems to lose his tail one way or another. This film harkens back to everything we remember and brings a fresh look into our favorite characters lives.

My favorite scene in the movie is of course the one where Piglet is trying to find something long enough to reach down into the hole to help everyone get out of the home made Backson trap, but then it holds a special place in my heart since I was able to do a voice over as piglet. (If you missed that post be sure to CLICK HERE for a laugh!)

So while that other big blockbuster movie may also come out today (you know the one that has a boy wizard in it ;) ) Make sure to make it a double feature and check out the new Winnie The Pooh. I promise you young and old alike will remember it for ages. PLUS make sure you stay until after the credits for a fun scene and remember to hide your socks! You’ll thank me later.

***I was flown out to LA for the Disney DreamWorks Event, but all my opinions are my own.***
