EReaders are everywhere these days. The kindle, the nook, and even Sony has one out. I admit I was a little hesitant about them. I really do LOVE to read. I have been known to read a book a day sometimes, but I’m old school. I love to go inside a book store and sit for hours. I love the smell of a new book. I enjoy reading old favorites again and again. My sister has a Kindle and I have seen them at stores and I just did not like the screen. I have bad eyesight as it is and I just thought I would not like an E Reader at all. So I was skeptic about doing a review for one. Then it came in the mail. Even the box was cool. It was like a huge book. Check it out in the box below:
What immediately stuck out about The Literati by The Sharper Image was that it is one of the few color eReaders and has a 7” color LCD screen (480 x 800 resolution). The literati is only ½” thick and it comes with it’s very own stylish case. I received the white one, but they also come in black. I had to let it charge for 6 hours then I connected wirelessly to the Kobo bookstore and started downloading FREE books! HERE is a list of the 150 ebooks that come FREE with your literati. There are more free books at the store. Some of them are even New Releases. The Kobo bookstore gives users access to more than 2 million books, magazines and periodicals. The prices aren’t as bad as I thought either. For example Girl with a Dragon Tattoo is only $5.20! That’s an amazing deal!
Another thing I liked is the backlit night reading mode for dark environments and it has an SD card slot allows users to add storage (up to 8GB). From Books, Newspapers, Magazines, and more The Literati brings great flexibility to the reading experience. Not only can the Literati store hundreds of titles, it also lets users enjoy those titles on their laptop, smart phone and desktop computer. Here is a video showing The Literati and how easy it is use.
Overall I am happy I went with the Literati. I’m excited about using it and already the kiddos are asking when they can use it!

Changing My Mind: A Memoir
By Margaret Trudeau
I would read this because she was Canada’s first lady at the age of 22,and she also had a mental illness that she talks about in her book.
I haven’t read it yet-but it sure sounds good.
