Mom’s Summer Wish

With summer coming to a close I’m looking back and wishing I had not worried so much about the day’s housework and spent more time enjoying the summer. I had thought about hiring a commercial janitorial to come out and do a full sweep of the house. From baseboards and behind all the furniture to even cleaning the light fixtures, but I never got around to it. Instead I was always behind in our day to day stuff. Washing clothes, doing the dishes, vacuuming, dusting, etc. You get the idea. With two kiddos in the house everyday all day the house is always in a state of uproar. So my “Summer Wish” for next year is to take more picnics. Go to the beach. Watch more movies and go to the park more. You know what I mean. Just taking life by the reins and stopping to smell the flowers as the old cliche says.

Don’t get me wrong our summer wasn’t a total wash. We had Disney at the end of May which was a fabulous vacation. In June I was able to watch my little sister marry the man of her dreams. Then at the end of July I went to New Orleans for Bloggers on Bourbon. Which was AMAZING, but when I came back there were still chore upon chore to finish up myself. After all a Mothers work is never done. So what is YOUR “Summer Wish” for next year?
