Out Growing In – Save Money Swapping Your Children’s Clothing

logoI’ve talked about Children’s Clothing Swap websites before, but I found a new one that is a little different. The main difference is that they allow their users to optionally upload photos of the clothing that they are listing. This helps to ensure that everyone involved in the swapping transaction understands what they are getting versus a basic description. Which to me if I want to swap clothes with someone I want to know for sure what they look like. I want to know the condition they are in. You know what I mean?

A kids clothing swap website is not the only asset to this site. It is also a great place to swap ideas. They have a section devoted to this very concept. You can swap your ideas, tips, and solutions, to make everyday family SIMPLE as well as tips and ideas from families who have traveled across the country and abroad.

PLUS Out Growing In has offered Ways To Save readers a great discount that makes it even easier to budget kids clothes! new users who list 2 boxes of their kids gently used clothing on our web site, we’ll give them a 50% coupon code for shipping on their first box and then also a free 6-month premium membership to our web site. This is a $19 savings ($7 for shipping and $12 for membership). Just make sure you use the promo code WAYSTOSAVE

what a way to save on money! This is especially handy for newborn clothes, cause you know you get like 1 use per outfit before they are too huge for them. Thanks Kas!

Wow that seems like a great deal. I’ll have to remember this though, we donated a lot of Landon’s/Hunter’s old clothes to Goodwill. Though we will have more clothes in the future to get rid of.

Sounds like a nice site! I have a couple of boxes of clothes my boys have outgrown so I may just check it out. Thanks Kas!

I love that idea. Lord knows kids grow out of everything they own sometimes before they wear it. I know my grandkids do. Site unseen is not a good way to buy, so this is a great way to share clothes and information. Everyone gains. No losers.
    Thanks for this thoughtful review.

That’s a cool concept especially if you live in a rural area and don’t have a second hand or consignment store nearby.

That is an awesome money saving concept and I love that they have implemented the picture capability as well. I agree, even if I am swapping clothes I would like to see the condition and design for myself. I would love to take part in a program like this, but by the time clothes get passed through all my boys, they are in no shape to be traded, perhaps maybe clothes that I bought new for my youngest.

Dude that is awesome. I have clothes coming out of my ears of my kids’ but I never know what to do with them. Garage sale and donation is fine and all but if someone needs them swapping is awesome. PLUS being able to see what you get before hand is important!!! Thanks for the info :)
