What I learned at Blissdom

Well I only made it one day to Blissdom, but let me tell you that day was full of awesome women, learning new things, remembering some familiar ones, and hurt feet. Here is my top 10 things I learned at Blissdom.

  1. Cute shoes and conferences do NOT mix! When will I learn? I now have blisters on my poor feet from walking for miles at Opryland Hotel.
  2. Do NOT leave my mom home alone with computer unattended. She will download a virus every time.
  3. Make sure your bus drive to events know where she’s going or you will possibly end up a)the wrong exit twice, b)not even the write hotel, c)possibly dead. #countrypartybus
  4. There are some FABULOUS women bloggers out there! It was an awesome opportunity to actually meet this great diverse group of women one on one.
  5. Make sure to check out a Wisdom Workshop. I went to the inspirational writing workshop and left feeling more inspired than I have in a looooong time.
  6. Always check and see how much parking will be BEFORE going. Seriously $18.00 to park my friggin’ car?
  7. Make sure you stay till the party ends because you never know what may happen! You may see someone showing you how to bust a move, or win some fabulous makeup from ELF
  8. Put more of yourself into your blog. THIS is one of the most important things I have learned. So watch out everyone! More of ME heading to a blog near you!
  9. Make sure to eat before you go. $6 for a slice of pizza that sucks isn’t worth it.
  10. Lastly, there will always be certain cliques at conferences and some who glance at your name tag and move on to the next person. Do not let it get to you. Those are the ones who think they are more important and influential than they actually are.

I’m super glad I went to one day of this fantastic event. I will be posting a Namedropping Post later next week to give a shoutout to all the fabulous women I met!
