Review and ***Giveaway***: Barney Please and Thank You DVD

BArney Please and Thank You DVDBeing from the South I am a total believer in manners. I’m not talking about the use the right fork, elbows off the table, practice walking with a book on your head type manners. I’m talking about the basics. Please and Thank you. Yes Ma’am and No Ma’am. Yes Sir and No sir. No talking with your mouth full. My kids follow almost every one, but still have trouble talking with their mouths full. Ya know what? People take notice. I get compliments that my children are polite and it always makes me smile. Now don’t get me wrong, my kids can have a meltdown and be obnoxious just like any other, but the basics are there.

In Barney: Please And Thank You DVD your kids can join Join Barney & Friends(TM) as they

“learn the importance of being kind and courteous to others. When Baby Bop(TM) forgets to say “please? and “thank you”, Barney realizes it’s time for a lesson on how magic words can make other people feel good inside. As Baby Bop daydreams about a world without good manners, she realizes that being polite is not only important but it’s easy to do after all.”

Also includes the episodes: “Baby Bop’s Tea Party Games”: “Cakes, Cups, and Colors” and “Alphabet Cookies”.

I think the most important manner to teach is saying “thank you.” I believe that this teaches kids to be grateful for the things that they are given.. Although, I think all manners are important!

Being kind to others is the best manner to teach children in my opinion. Teaching your child to care for others, people and animals, will make them a better person and also builds character. Start when they are young and it will build the foundation for what they will become.
