February 5th is National Wear Red Day. What does that mean? Mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts — everyday women are dying at the rate of almost one per minute. Speak up. Make a difference. Show your support for the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red. It’s an easy, powerful way to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
You can also celebrate Wear Red Day by:

- Asking the man in your life to wear something red
- Promoting healthy hearts with a heart-healthy meal for your friends and family

I learned that many cities have turned landmarks red for this affiliation, and I think that is cool. Some examples and phots were given, such as the State Capitol in Lincoln, NE!
I learned On Feb. 6, 2009, cities across the country went Red by illuminating buildings and monuments in red to raise awareness of women and heart disease.

I found out that there are Three ways to get extra savings during Wear Red Sale, Wednesday, February 3 – Sunday, February 7
1. Wear red. Customers visiting our stores wearing anything red can receive an extra 20% or 10% off most sale & clearance purchases throughout the store
2. Purchase a Red Dress Pin. Customers not wearing red can purchase a Red Dress Pin for $2 and get the extra savings. Macy’s will donate all Red Dress Pin proceeds to American Heart Associa’s Go Red For Women movement. Macy’s is a proud national sponsor.
3. Use Your Macy’s Card. Even if you’re not wearing red, you can still receive an extra 15% or 10% off sale and clearance throughout the store.
