Toms Shoes

Have you heard about TOMS Shoes? If not you should. Featuring their famous One for One program. In 2006 Chief Shoe Giver Blake Mycoskie had an idea. TOMS Shoes was founded on a simple premise: With every pair you purchase, TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need. One for One. There are no complicated formulas — it’s simple. Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what they are all about.

During his year in business, TOMS sold 10,000 pairs of shoes. Blake returned to Argentina to lead his first Shoe Drop during which he gave to the children who had inspired him. In November 2007, TOMS had its second Shoe Drop, hand-placing 50,000 pairs of shoes on children in South Africa. In the fall of 2008, TOMS embarked own its first Shoe Drop in the United States, giving shoes in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida. Pretty awesome huh?

So instead of buying those expensive tennis shoes why not give the kiddo in your life a pair of TOMS Youth like the one’s pictured above? They have quite a few different styles for both boys and girls. Plus you are doing good and doesn’t that just make you smile?
