Top 10 Gifts and/or Toys For Girls

Wednesday, November 4, 2009 12 Post-It Notes

It's that time of year again! With only 51 days till Christmas everyone is starting to clamor to make sure they get that special gift or toy before they run out. In the following days I will post my Top 10 lists for everyone in the family. Starting out here is my Top 10 Gifts or Toys for Girls.

1. The hottest and most popular toy this season is the Zhu Zhu Pets . They are already out of stock at many retailers! If your kiddo is wanting a pet, but you are not sure they would take care of it properly the Zhu Zhu Pets would be perfect for them. Each Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster has its own unique personality & whimsical sounds. Loving Mode: Pet them, love them, hear them chatter Explore Mode: Let them scoot, scamper, across the floor. Plus you can buy a cute Hamster Funhouse (Hamsters Sold Separately) or Hamster Wheel for them to play on. You can get them at your local Wal-Mart or online.

2. Another popular item for the girls this year is the new Mattel Dora Links Doll. The Mattel Dora Links Doll offers groundbreaking interactivity that allows girls to customize the doll and watch as she transforms before their eyes: By changing Dora's hair length online, the doll’s hair magically changes as well! You can explore and solve the online mysteries, which include Dora assuming a variety of disguises, the doll’s speech, eye color and jewelry color can change to correspond with their play. Mattel Dora Links Doll comes with doll stand, USB cord, purse, shoes and brush. You can buy it at Amazon or Wal-Mart.

3. He makes my heart melt and my daughters too. Now you can own your very own piece of Edward from Twilight. Part of the Pink Labels Collection, Stephenie Meyer's Twilight tells the tale of teenage romance between mortal Bella Swan, and the intriguing and dazzlingly beautiful vampire, Edward . The #1 New York Times Best seller and hugely popular movie has left its mark! Unfortunately, unlike the real Edward he doesn't sparkle, but hey that's what glitter is for! Get your today to take to the New Moon opening at Amazon and Wal-Mart

4. A girl ALWAYS needs a new doll for Christmas. My money is on the Little Mommy Real Loving Baby Walk & Giggle Doll. Designed for children age three and older who enjoy playing "mommy," this life-like doll features a repertoire of more than 60 phrases, songs, and sounds. From playing peek a boo to walking with her colorful pooch, she offers hours of interactive enjoyment while helping to encourage a nurturing behavior. Available at Amazon and Wal-Mart

5. Just like a little girl needs a doll they also need a kitchen. This Little Tikes Prep and Serve Kitchen is ultra-modern and looks and feels so much like the real thing! The Little Tikes Prep and Serve Kitchen trendy styling features an island peninsula, "stainless steel" look appliances and "granite" look countertops! Your little chef will be thrilled with the modern faucet, shelves and storage hooks, oven with stovetop burners, and the included 18 piece accessory package! Give your little one a "taste" of grownup fun with the Little Tikes Prep and Serve Kitchen!

6. Does your little one beg to use your digital camera? Why not get her one? The Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera comes in pink or blue so you could also get it for your little man. It has an easy-to-use format that features a 1.5” color LCD preview screen which allows kids to instantly see the picture they’ve taken. 1.3 or .3 Megapixels(user selected) for quality 4”x6” prints, Auto-flash, 128MB of Flash memory for storing up to 500 pictures, USB Cable for computer connection, dual handle grips, and a 2-eye view finder that makes it easy for kids to take great pictures.

7. The Disney Netpal by ASUS - 8.9-Inch Princess Pink Netbook makes me wish Santa still brought me presents! As most of you know I am a sucker for all things Disney. So Disney + computer= greatness. It is Jam-packed with Disney themed customization options and applications. The Disney Netpal by ASUS - 8.9-Inch Princess Pink Netbook features more than two dozen parental control options. Easy to use for kids from 6 to 12 years. Built-in wireless internet connectivity, webcam, microphone, and stereo speakers with 5 hours of battery life. You can get this at Disney online, Wal-Mart or Amazon.

8. Now this is one of those toys that I just don't get. Everyone wants it and is talking about it, but I just don't get it. With the Paperoni Deluxe Studio your kiddos can create colorful, three-dimensional paper artwork. Designed for ages 4 to 8, this studio features a kid-safe paper cutter, several self-adhesive molds and templates, Paperoni paper pieces and rods of various sizes. Simple instructions show kids how to safely cut the paper rods into different sizes, stick them to the templates, and create three-dimensional art. A free-form template allows kids to create a work of art from scratch.

9. Every list needs a ride-on toy! Mine is the Fisher-Price Power Wheels Barbie Jammin' Jeep. It is a battery-operated ride-on vehicle that your child can really drive. Kids will gain a real sense of independence playing "grown up" driving a "real" car, and they can have great fun practicing coordination skills by steering, stopping, and driving in reverse. You can buy this at Amazon, but it's $30 cheaper at Wal-Mart

10. A Christmas list always needs that 1 item that is beyond reach. I would LOVE to get this Pennfield Cottage Playhouse With Floor And Porch for Isabella. With a price tag over $2,000 it's just a dream, but hey dreams are what Christmas is made of right?

***I was not compensated in any way for this list. This is just my thoughts on the best gifts.***

Great list! I've been thinking about getting a kitchen for my three year old, hadn't seen this one but it looks nice. We have one of the cameras and it's great - the picture quality isn't wonderful, but it's perfect for clumsy little hands.
