I would LOVE to check out Sam's Club - it is right next to the Walmart Super Center here. My savings tip - host a swap party with friends. You can sawp clothes (adult or kids), cooking items, decorative items, even holiday decorations. It is a wonderful way to get new stuff and get rid of old stuff without spening a cent. Just make sure there are guidelines on condition, quantity, etc... so no one feels things were unfair

While it may not be what you're intending, my best savings tip is to not buy things you don't need. I had a pastor who reminded us regularly that if we spent $200, but "saved" $500, you actually still spent that money. Unless it was something you were going to buy anyway, you didn't save anything.

Outside of that, I'd say the next best savings tip is to put some money aside for emergencies and irregular expenses (tires, maintenance, etc). Otherwise you get hit really, really hard when an emergency or unexpected expense comes up. Wish I'd learned that earlier.

My Best tip involves buying gas at the gas pump. We all know how Gas prices and our economy in general has spun out of control but if you're mindful and thrifty you may well take advantage by doing this next time your filling up your vehicles gas tank.
You can get medium grade(Plus) gasoline for about $2.60 cheaper if you fill 1/2 your tank with Premium grade(Super) and 1/2 your tank with Low grade(Regular)which will make (Medium grade)-Plus if you do so. It may take a minute longer to do this but if you’re saving near $3 I’d say better the money in your pocket than in the Oil companies pocket!
This was told on a news media show I listen to so I’m assuming its accurate and true. lighthousee27{at}gmail.com

My best savings tip is simple but effective: think. I try to stop and think before I make any purchase to make sure I really need the item, or whether it's a momentary whim, craving, or a bad mood that's driving me to want to buy a particular item. For big purchases, especially, I give myself a "time out" to mull it over for at least a day or two (during which I might even find a better deal or a coupon for the item). I've found this simple technique prevents me from making a lot of impulse purchases and has saved me a ton of money. Thanks for the giveaway!
