Ways To Save

Submitted by Kas on May 15, 2009 – 5:31 pm3 Comments

I was pulling up to go get a few things at my local Target dreading it because I knew I was going to spend too much money. As I was parking I noticed The Dollar Tree. I haven’t been in quite awhile and thought “Hmmmm. I wonder” and walked on in deciding to forgo Target all together. Now I didn’t have a whole lot to buy, but I ended up buying more than I would have and for A LOT cheaper!!!!!! Here is what I got:

  • Sun Sations Dishwashing Liquid instead of Dawn
  • Faultless Starch the brand I buy Anyway
  • Pringles Chips instead of Lays
  • Cheez Doodles instead of Cheetos
  • 3 Liter of Lemon-Lime instead of Sprite
  • 3 Liter of Fruit Punch instead of Hawaiian Punch
  • 3 Liter of Soda instead of Coke
  • 2 kids coloring books

I spent UNDER $10!!!!! If I would have went to Target I would have spent over $20. So my lesson was to Re-Evaluate. If I do have the extra money I can splurge on name brands, but if I don’t do I really need them? What do you think?
