Coupons

Couponing is a great way to save money. My biggest tip about coupons is organization. Get yourself a coupon organizer. They even have them at the $1 store. Mark your tabs by brand name, or product type, or any other way that works for you. Remember you want to be able to find the coupon in a fraction of a second.

Now once you have everything labeled here comes the not so fun part. Clipping Coupons. Everyone knows Sunday newspapers hold the best coupons so make sure to get your local paper and search through it. Many communities also send out coupon books for specific local stores. There are also a few places online where you cab print coupons such as http://coupons.smartsource.com// .

Now for the FUN! Shopping with your coupons. Grab an envelope and make a list of everything you’ll need to buy on this shopping trip. Now match the coupons to your item and put them in the envelope. Remember to give all of your coupons to the cashier before you check out so there will be no worries. Now your finished! See how much you saved and put it in your vacation jar/children’s education fund/or just leave it in the bank, but it adds up fast!

One last thing! Don’t throw away those expired coupons!! You can send them to our troops! U.S. military families that are stationed overseas are allowed to use coupons for up to six months after the manufacturer’s expiration date. Here’s a website to help you with that: http://www.grocerysavingtips.com/expiredgrocerycoupons.htm
